FAQ’S: Joint-It Grout Haze Remover

GENERAL INFO

Joint-It Grout Haze Remover is a professional-strength formulation that helps to remove epoxy grout haze left on the surface of tiles after the jointing process.

In cases where a very porous stone has not been pre-sealed prior to the jointing process, or if insufficient water has been used during the jointing compound application, it may leave a residue that accentuates any natural discolouration in the stone. This enhancement is called grout haze.

Different stone types can have slightly varied reactions. Some stone is more porous than others, so the enhancement is more noticeable and can take longer to weather off and disappear naturally.

Joint-It Grout Haze Remover is suitable for application on both internal and external surfaces, such as porcelain, natural stone & concrete paving. It can be used on paths, patios and driveways.

This depends on the porosity, type and texture of the surface, as well as the severity of the haze. We highly recommend testing a small hidden area of the surface to determine quantity required. The more porous the stone and severity of the haze, the more product you will need.

A general guideline:

  • Heavy haze: 4 m²/l
  • Light haze: 5 m²/l
